Recovery Victoria

In early 2020 I had completed inpatient treatment with Aurora Recovery Centre, I was motivated towards my recovery but I was not yet ready to integrate fully back into my life. I had reviewed second stage options in my area but was concerned about house management as well as temptations in my local area. It was suggested that I go to TWC's program in Victoria, which was a huge turning point in my recovery journey. 

If I could distill my praise to a simple sentence I would say that TWC's second stage program is exactly how a recovery house should be executed. I was met with compassionate, understanding ,yet firm guidance from house manager Peter and consistent oversight and presence from Trevor. 

Being in this environment gave me the opportunity to explore and become a man that I am proud of today, all while having safeguards and guidance in place to hold me accountable when old addiction related behaviors resurfaced. I was able to attend college , graduate and begin my career in the mental health field as a result.

I came from Ontario, straight from treatment to Lorraines house with no idea what my next steps were going to be for my life. Being welcomed into the house with so many women i could relate with was absolutely amazing. The structure of the house along with our weekly chores was an adjustment I got used to and definitely needed to progress with my sobriety, mental health, and responsibility. Coming here was crucial for my life moving forward, I am so grateful.

Recovery Victoria changed my life in ways I never thought possible. From the moment I stepped through their doors, I felt welcomed into a community that understood me like no one else could.
